BRAD TRELOAR
Brad Treloar is an award-winning musical director and accomplished music educator, currently working on Mamma Mia! and now returning to Geelong Lyric Theatre Society to lead the music of Beauty and the Beast.
A familiar and respected figure in the Geelong theatre community, Brad has waved the baton for an impressive list of productions including The Phantom of the Opera, Oliver, The Sound of Music, Evita, 13 The Musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Addams Family, Cinderella, The Last 5 Years, The Wizard of Oz, You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, Into The Woods and School of Rock. He was also the creator and Musical Director and arranger of the Wish Upon a Song concert series.
Brad was named Best Musical Director by the Musical Theatre Guild of Victoria in 2023. In addition to his music direction, he has co-produced several recent GLTS hits, including Jersey Boys and The Wizard of Oz, and currently serves as President of the Geelong Lyric Theatre Society.
Trained in both classical and contemporary music, Brad holds qualifications from the Australian Music Examinations Board, the Australian Guild of Music and Speech, Estill Voice International, the Melba Conservatorium of Music, and the University of New England. He teaches piano and voice privately and at Christian College Geelong, and is a sought-after accompanist, choir director, arranger, examiner, and adjudicator.
With decades of experience and a passion for helping performers discover their voice, Brad continues to be a driving force behind the region’s vibrant musical theatre scene.
